There is a space between the frolicking fun of the glorious summer and the darker days of the year’s end that is a chance for us to appreciate the wonder of nature. During fall, the dark and light have an equal opportunity to exist in balance, while nature puts on the final display of the year with the bold brush strokes of red, orange, amber, and gold. The trees give their last dazzling display before falling into winter slumber. I like this time best because it draws us out of ourselves and plants us in the here and now to take a breath and reconnect with nature. We have the chance to taste the deliciousness of the new apple crop, feel the crispness of the cool mornings that require a jacket, see the brilliant colors of the trees, hear the rustling of the fallen leaves we know wade through, and smell the mustiness of the cycle of life as it takes a downshift. Make sure to take time to enjoy the Fall Season.
